Parents of Rising Seniors

In 2020, North Carolina initiated the requirement of a booster dose of the meningitis vaccine (ACWY) for students entering 12^th grade. This is required for graduation.

Students need to provide proof by the 30^th day of their senior year to avoid exclusion from school.

I realize it seems like you have a long time to prepare, but doctor appointments fill up fast and at times there is a shortage of vaccines due to the large demand. Please contact your doctor’s office as your child can receive the booster now. I am trying to avoid any exclusion from school. 

Please provide proof of you child receiving the vaccine to the school nurse.
