Seniors - Class of 2024

Welcome back! It is officially college application season! We highly recommend you begin your applications early and that you do college applications through the Naviance platform. You must link your Common App account to Naviance and keep your college application materials in one place. Transcripts and teacher recommendation requests can be made directly through Naviance! Have questions about Naviance? Check out the Naviance page on our website! Transcripts can be sent electronically to ALL NC colleges from the CFNC site for free. Be sure your CFNC profile includes your PowerSchool # (lunch #) and indicate Northwest Cabarrus HS as your school.

Register online to take the SAT/ACT!

If you plan to attend a four-year college in the fall after you graduate, have taken Math III, and are a junior or senior, you need to take the SAT and/or ACT college entrance exam. The cost is $60 if you register by the posted deadlines. More information is available on the left hand side of our webpage under college. See your counselor or the college adviser for more information.

Student athletes - If you are interested in playing a sport in college, it is very important that you know the academic requirements for NCAA eligibility beginning with your freshman year in high school! The core GPA for NCAA eligibility is computed using only English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language semester grades. More information is available on the left hand side of our webpage under "Athletics/Are you NCAA eligible?"
